THIS WEEK’S TRAINING PLAN
We hope training at home is going well. Here’s some guidance for this week:
This week is a repeat of week 1 of March but this time there’s less rest. There’s also a fastest 100m test.
Test your fastest 100m time.
Record the time for your own records and so that you can share it with your coaches and other athletes.
These exercises should feel a bit easier this week. Try to increase the reps/time held and decrease rest to challenge yourself some more.
SUGGESTED TRAINING GAME
Get some family members involved and turn training into a game of “Coach Says.” (Similar to “Simon Says”.)
“Coach” instructs e.g. “Coach says do 12 tuck jumps”
Other players follow instructions.
Rest time = when an instruction without “Coach says” is called out.
The “coach” should challenge the players as much as possible by varying exercises and reps.
